2021 is here, and that can mean only one thing – it’s time to start those New Year’s resolutions. But instead of swearing off chocolate, why not try a different kind of goal this year? Yes, that’s right, we’re talking about starting some New Year skin care resolutions.
Having clear, blemish-free skin is something that we would all love. It’s undeniable. Mini Resolution #1: Wear Sunscreen Every Day
The number 1 most important rule of skincare! Wear! Your! Sunscreen! There’s no point in investing in special products or treatments if you aren’t directly preventing damage from the source. This new year make it a must that you wear sunscreen everyday rain or shine and re apply at least every two hours. Also don’t forget your hands and neck!
Mini Resolution #2: Always Take your Makeup Off Before Going to Bed
I know its tempting, maybe you had a long day at work our you just got back from a late Friday night! Whatever the reason, please take off your makeup before bed. Leaving all that dirt, dead skin cells and makeup on overnight is setting yourself up for breakouts! Breakouts that might linger or even scar.
Mini Resolution #3: Invest in proper skincare
Saving money is often a lot of people’s new years resolutions so let’s contribute to that by investing In proper skin care! I love a cheap product just as much as the next person. However, if your constantly putting 15$ into product after product that doesn’t seem to work, it quickly adds up and soon you’ve wasted hundreds of dollars on cheaply formulated products. Listen to your technician, do you research and invest in something that’s been tested and formulated to work.

Last but not least, clean your brushes. This step is often overlooked, I once had a horrible breakout that wouldn’t go away no matter what I did. Until someone recommended that I clean my brushes! My breakout was refusing to go away because I had kept swiping built up bacteria over it with my daily makeup routine. Soon after I thoroughly cleansed my brushes the breakout began to subside. So this new year promise us your regularly clean those brushes!
Resolution#2: Banish That Sun Damage
