Indefinitely (but don’t forget your sunscreen!)Our top treatments for sun damage include IPL Photofacial, which uses gentle bursts of light energy to target melanin and redness, breaking apart pigmented cells that are naturally eliminated by the body over time—great for freckles, age spots, and sun-damaged skin on the face, chest, and hands. Laser Genesis gently heats the skin to stimulate collagen production, reduce redness, and smooth texture. Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to activate your skin’s natural healing process, rebuilding collagen and elastin, especially when combined with regenerative boosters like exosomes. FAQs
What is sun-damaged skin? What causes it?
Sun-damaged skin often manifests itself in the form of age spots, also called liver spots and solar lentigines, which are flat, brown, grayish-brown or black spots on the skin. They appear in a variety of sizes and usually afflict the face, hands, shoulders, chest, back and arms. It’s no surprise that these are the most commonly exposed areas to the sun. Sun damage accumulates in your skin over time, including thinning of the skin, broken capillaries, multiple deep wrinkles, excessive brown pigmentation and skin laxity and these sun damage changes can be seen very early on in life, appearing more visibly after the age of 40.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments is dependent on such factors as lesion depth and size. However, most people need three to five treatments and begin seeing results after only one or two sessions.
Can I have my treatment on the same day as my consultation?
We would be happy to provide you with a complimentary consultation. A consultation takes about 30 minutes. You will meet with one of our technicians who will introduce you to our clinic, address your skin concerns and answer all your questions. The technician will then recommend the best course of treatments and products for you, and perform a small test patch if necessary. You may begin any treatments as soon as the next day.
