Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

A Chemical Peel is an acidic gel made up of naturally occurring acids such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), glycolic or salicylic acid combined with other skincare ingredients. Chemical peels are often used in combination with micro-needling in order to resurface and improve the health of the skin.

The chemical peel is applied to the skin to resurface the top layer of the skin in order to promote the growth of new skin cells. The regenerated skin is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin, creating a fresh-faced glow.

FAQs

How Does A Chemical Peel Work?

A chemical peel is a skin-rejuvenation treatment in which a chemical solution is applied to the face. This solution causes the top layer of skin to slough off, and eventually peel away from the surface of the skin. The effects of aging and environmental damage are reduced, leaving you with younger, clearer, and healthier-looking skin.

Am I Required To Book A Consultation Prior To Being Treated?

Yes, we will book a complimentary consultation to determine if you are a good candidate for our peels. This consultation will allow your skin technician to identify your skin needs and choose the best possible peel for your concerns and goals.

How Long Is A Typical Treatment?

It will vary depending upon the specific type of peel you are having, and your skin characteristics. The actual process itself can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes.

How Many Chemical Peel Treatments Will I Need?

We usually recommend a series of 4-6 treatments. However, your technician will be able to give you a more precise estimate of the number of treatments you will require after performing your skin assessment. This will also depend upon the condition of your skin, the type of peel you are having, and any other skin-rejuvenation treatments you are undergoing.
