Are you a bit sensitive or just want a bit of extra comfort? We have just what you’re looking for! We are pleased to announce our newest product, RGR Pharma Maxilene Lidocaine topical anesthetic cream, available in two non-prescription strengths, and 3 convenient sizes: Maxilene 4% in 5 gram tubes, and Maxilene 5% in 15 gram and 30 gram tubes.
Maxilene can relieve pain and/or itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, minor cuts and scrapes, insect bites or minor skin irritations. It has been used successfully to lessen the sting related to injections and tattooing. When applied to the area prior to treatment, Maxilene may help in reducing client discomfort associated with laser hair removal.
How does MAXILENE work?
Lidocaine causes a loss of feeling in the skin and surrounding tissues. Maxilene contains tiny microscopic, multilayered spheres called AccusomesT. Once the lidocaine reaches the nerve endings, you may notice a slight cooling sensation followed by an increased numbing feeling in the area covered by the cream. Areas of skin not directly covered by the cream will not be affected.
How do I use MAXILENE?
Topical use only: Prior to applying MAXILENE, use only mild soap and water to clean the area. Dry the area prior to applying. Do not use skin cleansers containing alcohol or acetone, as they will strip the naturally occurring oils that MAXILENE needs to penetrate the skin. Dosage: Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.
Manufacturer Instructions for use with occlusive bandage or plastic wrap:
Apply a small amount of cream and gently massage into skin. Next, squeeze enough cream to completely cover the affected area so that no skin is visible beneath the cream. Cover the cream with tagederm bandage or ordinary plastic wrap. The cream and bandage or wrap should remain undisturbed for 30 minutes, however you may experience sufficient numbing effect in less time. Remove the dressing and cream and wipe the area with clean gauze or tissue.
Please refer to product instructions for directions and recommended use. Always follow manufacturer directions and product warnings.
