thumb nailsAre you one of the millions of adults who suffer from unsightly nail fungal infection? Are your toe or finger nails crumbly, flaky, yellowed, and gnarly or separated from the nail bed? Do you want to wear open toed shoes and flip flops and not feel embarrassed by your nails? Laser therapy for nail fungus may be the treatment for you! We are pleased to introduce our newest service, Laser Nail Fungus treatments with the Fox Diode Laser. Clear your nail fungus quickly and safely with this simple, painless, non-invasive laser procedure.

Until recently, the options for treating nail fungal infections were limited and undesirable: the application of mostly ineffective creams, liquids, sprays and powders, the use of prescription medications with serious medical side effects, or painful removal of the nails. Laser therapy has been used for the past 10 years for treatment of nail fungus and is gaining popularity amongst podiatrists and Medi-Spa clinics due to clinically proven results it provides significant overall improvement of nail fungal infections. The Fox Diode Laser is the latest generation of laser for the treatment of nail fungus.

Nail fungal infections occur when the fungi gains access to the nail bed through outer edges of the nail. Fungi thrive in moist, dark conditions, and feed on keratin, a protein within your nails. During laser treatment, our technician will slowly direct the laser beam across your nail. The energy of the laser beam is absorbed by the underlying fungal colony. This denaturalizes the enzyme within the fungus and impairs its growth. You will feel a warm sensation during the procedure, but should not feel any discomfort. No anesthetic is required, and you may resume normal activities after treatment, including applying nail polish. We ask that you bring clean shoes and socks to use after your treatment and follow up with daily applications of anti fungal cream to the outer edges of your nails and between your toes (or fingers).  To prevent re-infection, all 10 of your nails will be treated at each appointment. (We do not treat single finger or toes nails with the exception of a single finger nail that has fungus related to acrylic nail application). You will see clearing results as your nails grow out, but due to the nature of fungal infections, we highly recommend you complete a series of 3 – 4 treatments to prevent re-infection.

Our Laser technicians are not only manufacturer trained and certified on the Fox Diode Laser, but also experienced on a variety of our other laser equipment used for laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) skin treatments.
